Employees will receive branded "Employee of the Quarter" shirts, certificates, and will be assigned a special parking spot in the front row. Congratulations to these great team members!
Manny Barajas
Manuel "Manny" Barajas has provided 27 years of dedicated service to GCTD. First, as a temporary service worker hired during his summer break after graduating high school, then as a Mechanic I, followed by Bus Operator where he spent the bulk of his career, and most recently as an Operations Supervisor.
Manny is often characterized by his positive attitude and friendly personality. He found his role as Bus Operator to be very rewarding, as he was able to meet and assist a diverse group of people from all over the world. His favorite thing to do is spend time with his family, including his wife of 24 years and two daughters, as well as his extended family. He loves the outdoors, enjoyes hiking, fishing and the range.
Jaime Espinoza
Jaime came to GCTD from the oil industry where he worked in an oil refinery. Looking for a career change with more stability and benefits, he found GCTD. Now, a 16-year veteran Bus Operator, Jaime learns something new every day. As a native Spanish speaker, one of the things he is very proud of is his proficiency of the English language, which he claims was not the case when he started at GCTD.
Jaime is always cheerful and carries a smile. He is always willing to go above and beyond to be of service to others, which for him, is the most satisfying part of the job - being a member of the GCTD team and working together.
